Anoka Tornadoes (Anoka, MN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Centennial Cougars (Circle Pines, MN), 67-47 in a league bout.

With the win, Anoka upgrades its record to 6-6 on the season. The Tornadoes host Maple Grove (Maple Grove, MN) to clash with the Crimson in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 26. The Crimson go into the bout with a record of 12-2. Maple Grove won 57-38 in their recent league bout against Champlin Park (Champlin, MN)

Next up, the Cougars clash with the Coon Rapids Cardinals (Coon Rapids, MN) in a AAAA Section 7 bout, on Thursday, January 26. Centennial will attempt to upgrade on its 2-12 season record. The Cardinals go into the bout with a 4-9 record after their 85-44 non-league loss to Osseo (Osseo, MN).
