The Anoka Tornadoes (Anoka, MN) basketball nipped the visiting Centennial Cougars (Circle Pines, MN), 81-74 in Wednesday's league test.

The Tornadoes (10-10) will now prepare for their test against Rogers (Rogers, MN). The Royals go into the non-league test with a 6-14 record. In their last test, Rogers was tipped by Totino-Grace (Fridley, MN), 100-66, in a non-league test.

The Cougars now own a 4-16 record. They play next when they host Blaine for a AAAA Section 7 test on Friday, February 17. Centennial will encounter a Bengals squad coming off a 88-78 non-league loss to Spring Lake Park (Spring Lake Park, MN). The Bengals record now stands at 13-8.
