In Tuesday's league outing, the Augusta Prep Day Cavaliers (Augusta, GA) basketball squad beat the visiting Edmund Burke Academy Spartans (Waynesboro, GA), by a margin of 63-44.
The Cavaliers (4-13) will now prepare for their outing against Briarwood Academy (Warrenton, GA). The Buccaneers go into the GIAA AA Region 4 outing with a 9-9 record. In their last outing, Briarwood Academy overcame John Hancock Academy (Sparta, GA), 55-42, in a non-league match.
With the defeat, Edmund Burke Academy moves to 5-14 on the year. The Spartans host Jenkins County (Millen, GA) to meet the War Eagles in a non-league match on Saturday, January 28. The War Eagles enter the match with a record of 15-4.
