Bensalem Fighting Owls (Bensalem, PA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Council Rock South Golden Hawks (Holland, PA), 57-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Bensalem upgrades its record to 10-7 on the season. The Fighting Owls travel to Council Rock North (Newtown, PA) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Friday, January 27. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 8-8.

Next up, the Golden Hawks play the Neshaminy Redskins (Langhorne, PA) in a Suburban One - Patriot bout, on Friday, January 27. Council Rock South will attempt to upgrade on its 3-14 season record. The Redskins go into the bout with a 11-7 record after their 58-48 league loss to Pennsbury (Fairless Hills, PA).
