Alabama High School Basketball - Geneva County can't hold off Cottonwood

The Cottonwood Bears basketball team scored 61 points and held the host Geneva County Bulldogs to 60 in the Bears league triumph on Tuesday.

The Bears now sport a 7-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pike County for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 26. Cottonwood will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 58-41 league win over New Brockton (New Brockton, AL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 5-10.

The Bulldogs (14-10) will now prepare for their contest against Rehobeth (Dothan, AL). The Rebels enter the non-league contest with a 7-13 record. In their last contest, Rehobeth was nudged by Eufaula (Eufaula, AL), 76-45, in a league contest.
