North Carolina High School Basketball - Elkin ripped by East Wilkes

The East Wilkes Cardinals basketball team scored 62 points and held the host Elkin Buckin' Elks to 35 in the Cardinals league triumph on Tuesday.
The Cardinals now sport a 8-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Stokes for a 1A Conference 36 contest on Friday, January 27. East Wilkes will battle a Sauras team coming off a 74-31 league win over Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC). The Sauras record now stands at 15-4.
The Buckin' Elks (3-14) will now prepare for their contest against Surry Central (Dobson, NC). The Golden Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 13-4 record. In their last contest, Surry Central triumphed over Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC), 67-46, in a league contest.
