North Carolina High School Basketball - Elkin ripped by East Wilkes

The East Wilkes Cardinals basketball team scored 59 points and held the visiting Elkin Buckin' Elks to 20 in the Cardinals league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cardinals now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Iredell for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 14. East Wilkes will meet a Warriors team coming off a 74-66 non-league loss to Bunker Hill (Claremont, NC). The Warriors record now stands at 1-5.

The Buckin' Elks (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against Millennium (Mount Airy, NC). The Lions enter the non-league contest with a 1-10 record. In their last contest, Millennium was routed by Cornerstone Charter (Greensboro, NC), 58-9, in a league contest.
