The McLoughlin Pioneers basketball team (Milton-Freewater, OR), was toppled 48-36 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Umatilla Vikings (Umatilla, OR)
The Vikings now possess a 7-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Riverside for a 3A Eastern Oregon battle on Thursday, January 26. Umatilla will confront a Pirates team coming off a 48-20 league loss to Burns (Burns, OR). The Pirates record now stands at 2-13.
Next up, the Pioneers confront the Vale Vikings (Vale, OR) in a 3A Eastern Oregon challenge, on Friday, January 27. McLoughlin will attempt to improve on its 3-13 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 9-9 record after their 48-41 league win over Umatilla (Umatilla, OR).
