The McLoughlin Pioneers basketball team (Milton-Freewater, OR), was nudged 52-47 in Friday's league battle with the host Umatilla Vikings (Umatilla, OR)

The Vikings now possess a 9-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Nyssa for a 3A Eastern Oregon battle on Saturday, February 18. Umatilla will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 55-47 league loss to Vale (Vale, OR). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-14.

The Pioneers (5-16) will now prepare for their battle against College Place (College Place, WA). The Hawks come into the non-league battle with a 3-18 record. In their last battle, College Place was nudged by Kiona-Benton (Benton City, WA), 51-41, in a league battle.
