Texas High School Basketball - Veterans Memorial crushes Pieper

Veterans Memorial Patriots (San Antonio, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Pieper Warriors (San Antonio, TX), 79-56 in a league bout.

With the victory, Veterans Memorial upgrades its record to 25-4 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Smithson Valley (Spring Branch, TX) to play the Rangers in a 5A Region IV District 26 bout on Friday, January 27. The Rangers come into the bout with a record of 5-17. Smithson Valley won 60-49 in their recent league bout against Wagner (San Antonio, TX)

Next up, the Warriors play the Canyon Cougars (New Braunfels, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 26 bout, on Friday, January 27. Pieper will attempt to upgrade on its 17-10 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 6-23 record after their 55-39 league loss to Boerne-Champion (Boerne, TX).
