Texas High School Basketball - Veterans Memorial winner over Pieper

The Veterans Memorial Patriots (San Antonio, TX) basketball felled the host Pieper Warriors (San Antonio, TX), 65-56 in Friday's league test.

The Patriots (19-3) will now prepare for their test against Smithson Valley (Spring Branch, TX). The Rangers go into the 5A Region IV District 26 test with a 2-12 record. In their last test, Smithson Valley was beaten by San Marcos (San Marcos, TX), 69-46, in a non-league test.

The Warriors now own a 16-4 record. They play next when they travel to Canyon for a 5A Region IV District 26 test on Tuesday, January 3. Pieper will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 75-54 league loss to Boerne-Champion (Boerne, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 6-16.
