The South Pontotoc Cougars (Pontotoc, MS) basketball felled the host Ripley Tigers (Ripley, MS), 46-30 in Tuesday's league test.

The Cougars (21-4) will now prepare for their test against North Pontotoc (Ecru, MS). The Vikings go into the 4A Region 2 test with a 7-11 record.

The Tigers now own a 3-10 record. They play next when they host New Albany for a 4A Region 2 test on Friday, January 27. Ripley will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 87-60 league win over North Pontotoc (Ecru, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 19-5.
