Varsity Opponent (, ) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting South Bronx Community Spartans (Bronx, NY), 11-10 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Varsity Opponent upgrades its record to 300-914 on the season. The travel to International Studies (Hollywood, FL) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 0-9. International Studies lost 74-28 in their recent non-league bout against Sheridan Hills Christian (Hollywood, FL)

Next up, the Spartans play the KIPP NYC College Prep Bulldogs (New York, NY) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 26. South Bronx Community will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 53-38 league loss to Lehman (Bronx, NY).
