Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Andrews Wildcats (Andrews, NC), 43-33 in a league bout.

With the win, Swain County upgrades its record to 7-11 on the season. The Maroon Devils travel to Hayesville (Hayesville, NC) to play the Yellowjackets in a 1A Conference 43 - Big bout on Friday, January 27. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a record of 6-12. Hayesville lost 45-22 in their recent non-league bout against Copper Basin (Copperhill, TN)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Franklin Panthers (Franklin, NC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 25. Andrews will attempt to upgrade on its 3-16 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 12-7 record after their 71-42 league loss to Pisgah (Canton, NC).
