Buffalo Gap Bison (Swoope, VA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Fort Defiance Indians (Fort Defiance, VA), 65-64 in a league bout.

With the victory, Buffalo Gap upgrades its record to 10-6 on the campaign. The Bison travel to Riverheads (Staunton, VA) to play the Gladiators in a Shenandoah bout on Friday, January 27. The Gladiators come into the bout with a record of 5-9. Riverheads lost 41-24 in their recent league bout against Stuarts Draft (Stuarts Draft, VA)

Next up, the Indians play the Rockbridge County Wildcats (Lexington, VA) in a Valley bout, on Thursday, January 26. Fort Defiance will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record. The Wildcats come into the bout with a 2-15 record after their 48-33 league loss to Harrisonburg (Harrisonburg, VA).
