The Elgin Maroons basketball team scored 47 points and restricted the visiting Streamwood Sabres to 38 in the Maroons league victory on Tuesday.

The Maroons now sport a 8-18 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bartlett for a Upstate Eight contest on Thursday, January 26. Elgin will battle a Hawks team coming off a 63-51 league loss to Aurora East (Aurora, IL). The Hawks record now stands at 5-19.

The Sabres (2-21) will now prepare for their contest against South Elgin (South Elgin, IL). The Storm come into the Upstate Eight contest with a 10-15 record. In their last contest, South Elgin was defeated by Glenbard East (Lombard, IL), 50-45, in a league contest.
