Lincolnton Wolves (Lincolnton, NC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Newton-Conover Red Devils (Newton, NC), 47-22 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Lincolnton upgrades its record to 6-8 on the campaign. The Wolves host Bandys (Catawba, NC) to play the Trojans in a bout on Friday, January 27. The Trojans come into the bout with a record of 12-4. Bandys won 48-35 in their recent league bout against East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC)

Next up, the Red Devils play the East Burke Cavaliers (Connelly Springs, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 27. Newton-Conover will attempt to upgrade on its 6-10 season record. The Cavaliers come into the bout with a 3-12 record after their 48-35 league loss to Bandys (Catawba, NC).
