In Wednesday's league outing, the Brunswick Bulldogs (Lawrenceville, VA) basketball squad edged the host Franklin Broncos (Franklin, VA), by a count of 61-59.

The Bulldogs (14-3) will now prepare for their outing against Sussex Central (Sussex, VA). The Tigers go into the Tri-Rivers outing with a 8-5 record. In their last challenge, Sussex Central nipped Surry County (Dendron, VA), 45-33, in a league challenge.

Next up, the Broncos play the Southampton Indians (Courtland, VA) in a Tri-Rivers challenge, on Thursday, January 25. Franklin will attempt to upgrade on its 10-8 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 9-6 record after their 47-42 league win over Windsor (Windsor, VA).
