The San Marcos Royals basketball team scored 72 points and held the host Dos Pueblos Chargers to 62 in the Royals league triumph on Wednesday.

The Royals now sport a 12-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Buena for a Channel contest on Friday, January 26. San Marcos will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 64-36 league win over Pacifica (Oxnard, CA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 11-13.

The Chargers (9-13) will now prepare for their contest against San Juan Hills (San Juan Capistrano, CA). The Stallions enter the non-league contest with a 15-9 record. In their last contest, San Juan Hills was defeated by San Clemente (San Clemente, CA), 67-44, in a league contest.
