San Marcos Royals (Santa Barbara, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Dos Pueblos Chargers (Goleta, CA), 74-55 in a league bout.

With the win, San Marcos upgrades its record to 7-9 on the season. The Royals host San Luis Obispo (San Luis Obispo, CA) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 6. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 10-7. San Luis Obispo lost 58-54 in their recent non-league bout against Atascadero (Atascadero, CA)

Next up, the Chargers play the Pacifica Tritons (Oxnard, CA) in a Channel bout, on Monday, January 8. Dos Pueblos will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Tritons go into the bout with a 7-9 record after their 70-69 non-league loss to Lancaster (Lancaster, CA).
