South Carolina High School Basketball - Marlboro County nudges Lakewood

In Wednesday's league outing, the Marlboro County Bulldogs (Bennettsville, SC) basketball squad edged the host Lakewood Gators (Sumter, SC), by a count of 55-50.

The Bulldogs (10-6) will now prepare for their outing against Crestwood (Sumter, SC). The Knights go into the AAA Region 6 outing with a 19-1 record. In their last outing, Crestwood held off Darlington (Darlington, SC), 62-50, in a league outing.

The Gators now hold a 5-14 record. They play next when they travel to Lake City for a AAA Region 6 outing on Friday, January 26. Lakewood will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 71-57 league loss to Camden (Camden, SC). The Panthers record now stands at 6-14.
