Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Marlboro County Bulldogs (Bennettsville, SC) and the visiting Lakewood Gators (Sumter, SC), saw Marlboro County's basketball squad knock off Lakewood by a tally of 56-43.

With the victory, Marlboro County improves its record to 11-7 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Crestwood (Sumter, SC) to play the Knights in a AAA Region 6 challenge on Wednesday, January 31. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 21-1. Crestwood won 52-44 in their recent league challenge against Darlington (Darlington, SC)

Next up, the Gators play the Crestwood Knights (Sumter, SC) in a AAA Region 6 challenge, on Friday, February 2. Lakewood will attempt to improve on its 6-15 season record. The Knights come into the challenge with a 22-1 record after their 54-37 league win over Marlboro County (Bennettsville, SC).
