West Charlotte Lions (Charlotte, NC) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Harding University Rams (Charlotte, NC), 59-42 in a league bout.

With the win, West Charlotte upgrades its record to 7-10 on the season. The Lions host Mallard Creek (Charlotte, NC) to play the Mavericks in a 3A/4A Queen City bout on Friday, January 26. The Mavericks go into the bout with a record of 13-3. Mallard Creek won 70-17 in their recent league bout against Chambers (Charlotte, NC)

Next up, the Rams play the Hopewell Titans (Huntersville, NC) in a 3A/4A Queen City bout, on Friday, January 26. Harding University will attempt to upgrade on its 1-11 season record. The Titans go into the bout with a 1-15 record after their 63-11 league loss to Hough (Cornelius, NC).
