Kentucky High School Basketball - Lee County knocked off by Powell County

The Powell County Pirates basketball team scored 65 points and held the visiting Lee County Bobcats to 45 in the Pirates league triumph on Wednesday.
The Pirates now sport a 9-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Estill County for a District 56 contest on Friday, January 26. Powell County will meet a Engineers team coming off a 76-32 non-league loss to Rockcastle County (Mt. Vernon, KY). The Engineers record now stands at 7-10.
The Bobcats (3-9) will now prepare for their contest against June Buchanan (Pippa Passes, KY). The Crusaders enter the non-league contest with a 3-6 record.
