In their next game, the Bulldogs face the Westran Hornets (Huntsville, MO) in a non-league game, on Friday, January 26. New Franklin will attempt to move on its 10-9 season record. The Hornets enter the game with a 11-5 record after their 76-41 non-league loss to Father Tolton (Columbia, MO).

With the defeat, Sturgeon moves to 8-9 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Wellsville-Middletown (Wellsville, MO) to face the Tigers in a non-league game on Thursday, February 1. The Tigers enter the game with a record of 7-7.
