The Piute Thunderbirds basketball team (Junction, UT), was nudged 47-41 in Wednesday's league battle with the visiting Wayne Badgers (Bicknell, UT)
The Badgers now possess a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Valley for a 1A Region 20 battle on Friday, January 26. Wayne will confront a Buffalos team coming off a 49-37 league win over Bryce Valley (Tropic, UT). The Buffalos record now stands at 7-8.
The Thunderbirds (12-4) will now prepare for their outing against Milford (Milford, UT). The Tigers go into the non-league outing with a 9-8 record. In their last outing, Milford got by El Capitan/Centennial Academy (Colorado City, AZ), 56-52, in a non-league outing.
