Piute Thunderbirds (Junction, UT) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Wayne Badgers (Bicknell, UT), 67-44 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Piute upgrades its record to 16-6 on the campaign. The Thunderbirds travel to Panguitch (Panguitch, UT) to play the Bobcats in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 17. The Bobcats come into the bout with a record of 17-2. Panguitch won 60-25 in their recent non-league bout against Valley (Orderville, UT)

Next up, the Badgers play the Valley Buffalos (Orderville, UT) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, February 17. Wayne will attempt to upgrade on its 13-7 season record. The Buffalos come into the bout with a 10-11 record after their 60-25 non-league loss to Panguitch (Panguitch, UT).
