Sage Ridge Scorpions (Reno, NV) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Sierra Sage Academy/Right Of Passage Rams (Yerington, NV), 62-17 in a league bout.

With the victory, Sage Ridge upgrades its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Scorpions travel to Coleville (Coleville, CA) to play the Wolves in a 1A West bout on Saturday, January 27. The Wolves come into the bout with a record of 9-5. Coleville won 67-23 in their recent league bout against Mineral County (Hawthorne, NV)

Next up, the Rams play the Virginia City Muckers (Virginia City, NV) in a 1A West bout, on Saturday, January 27. Sierra Sage Academy/Right Of Passage will attempt to upgrade on its 0-10 season record. The Muckers come into the bout with a 4-18 record after their 56-15 league loss to Pyramid Lake (Nixon, NV).
