Calera Eagles (Calera, AL) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Chilton County Tigers (Clanton, AL), 67-54 in a league match.

With the victory, Calera advances its record to 17-10 on the year. The Eagles host Benjamin Russell (Alexander City, AL) to meet the Wildcats in a 6A Area 5 match on Monday, January 27. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 12-7. Benjamin Russell won 65-32 in their recent league match against Chilton County (Clanton, AL)

The Tigers now own a 5-16 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pelham for a non-league match on Monday, January 27. Chilton County will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 50-49 league loss to Helena (Helena, AL). The Panthers record now stands at 12-14.
