Iowa High School Basketball - Center Point-Urbana nips Independence

In Friday's league contest, the visiting Center Point-Urbana Stormin' Pointers basketball team scored a close 60-54 win over the Independence Mustangs.
The Stormin' Pointers (8-6) will now prepare for their contest against Solon (Solon, IA). The Spartans come into the non-league contest with a 9-5 record. In their last contest, Solon edged Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IA), 58-41, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Mustangs battle the Marion/Newton Christian Academy (Marion, IA) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 28. Independence will attempt to better on its 7-10 season record.
