Texas High School Basketball - Cumby triumphant over Yantis

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Cumby Trojans (Cumby, TX) and the host Yantis Owls (Yantis, TX), observed Cumby's basketball team overwhelm Yantis by a score of 77-52.

The Trojans (16-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Como-Pickton (Como, TX). The Eagles come into the 2A Region II District 15 challenge with a 7-22 record. In their last challenge, Como-Pickton was routed by Cooper (Cooper, TX), 52-17, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Owls encounter the Pioneer Tech & Arts Academy (Fate, TX) in a 2A Region II District 15 challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Yantis will attempt to improve on its 20-10 season record. The come into the challenge with a 1-23 record after their 76-9 league loss to North Hopkins (Sulphur Springs, TX).
