In Friday's league test, the Mt. Mansfield Cougars (Jericho, VT) basketball squad defeated the visiting Essex Hornets (Essex Junction, VT), by a final score of 68-54.
Next, the Cougars clash with the Rice Memorial Green Knights (South Burlington, VT) in a Metro test, on Monday, January 27. Mt. Mansfield will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record. The Green Knights come into the test with a 10-3 record after their 65-54 non-league win over Rutland (Rutland, VT).
The Hornets (2-12) will now prepare for their test against Burlington (Burlington, VT). The Seahorses come into the Metro test with a 15-1 record. In their last test, Burlington went down by South Burlington (South Burlington, VT), 70-68, in a league test.
