The Volunteers come into the test with a 17-10 record after their 71-53 league win over Sam Houston (Arlington, TX).

The Gophers (13-10) will now prepare for their test against Haltom (Haltom City, TX). The Buffalos come into the 6A Region I District 8 test with a 6-15 record. In their last test, Haltom went down by Lamar (Arlington, TX), 56-43, in a league test.
