In Tuesday's league contest, the host Grand Prairie Gophers basketball team scored a good 48-33 win over the Martin Warriors.
The Gophers (8-8) will now prepare for their contest against Haltom (Haltom City, TX). The Buffalos come into the 6A Region I District 8 contest with a 6-8 record. In their last contest, Haltom was topped by Lamar (Arlington, TX), 40-39, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Warriors battle the Bowie Volunteers (Arlington, TX) in a 6A Region I District 8 contest, on Friday, January 3. Martin will attempt to better on its 13-10 season record. The Volunteers come into the contest with a 11-8 record after their 71-55 league win over Sam Houston (Arlington, TX).
