The Madison County Red Raiders basketball squad (Danielsville, GA), was nudged 59-55 in Friday's league battle with the host Walnut Grove Warriors (Walnut Grove, GA)
With the victory, Walnut Grove advances its record to 3-18 on the year. The Warriors host Cedar Shoals (Athens, GA) to meet the Jaguars in a AAAA Region 8 battle on Tuesday, January 28. The Jaguars enter the battle with a record of 13-7.
The Red Raiders now own a 17-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host East Forsyth for a AAAA Region 8 battle on Saturday, January 25. Madison County will meet a Broncos squad coming off a 78-62 league win over Cedar Shoals (Athens, GA). The Broncos record now stands at 13-7.
