Winslow Black Raiders (Winslow, ME) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Maine Central Institute Huskies (Pittsfield, ME), 50-45 in a league match.
With the victory, Winslow advances its record to 10-7 on the year. The Black Raiders host Waterville (Waterville, ME) to face the Panthers in a non-league match on Thursday, January 30. The Panthers enter the match with a record of 2-13.
The Huskies now own a 5-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Morse for a non-league match on Tuesday, January 28. Maine Central Institute will face a Shipbuilders squad coming off a 68-49 league loss to Oceanside (Rockland, ME). The Shipbuilders record now stands at 4-10.
