In Friday's league contest, the host Pulaski County Maroons basketball team scored a big 70-46 win over the Somerset Briar Jumpers.

The Maroons (8-6) will now prepare for their contest against Southwestern (Somerset, KY). The Warriors come into the non-league contest with a 8-7 record. In their last contest, Southwestern was trounced by McCreary Central (Stearns, KY), 74-65, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Briar Jumpers battle the Corbin Redhounds (Corbin, KY) in a non-league contest, on Monday, January 27. Somerset will attempt to better on its 8-9 season record. The Redhounds come into the contest with a 10-5 record after their 80-62 league win over Whitley County (Williamsburg, KY).
