The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Pojoaque Valley Elks/Elkettes (Pojoaque, NM) and the host Taos Tigers (Taos, NM), observed Pojoaque Valley's basketball team knock off Taos by a score of 52-41.

The Elks/Elkettes (7-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Hope Christian (Albuquerque, NM). The Huskies come into the non-league challenge with a 12-1 record.

In their next game, the Tigers encounter the Moriarty Pintos (Moriarty, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 30. Taos will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Pintos come into the challenge with a 3-4 record after their 50-29 non-league loss to Espanola Valley (Espanola, NM).
