The Astoria Fishermen (Astoria, OR) basketball crushed the visiting St. Helens Lions (St. Helens, OR), 44-17 in Friday's league bout.
The Fishermen now possess a 6-7 record. They play next when they host Oregon Episcopal for a non-league bout on Thursday, January 30.
With the loss, St. Helens falls to 10-4 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Tillamook (Tillamook, OR) to play the Cheesemakers in a 4A Cowapa bout on Tuesday, January 28. The Cheesemakers go into the bout with a record of 5-0.
