The Burns Hilanders (Burns, OR) basketball crushed the host McLoughlin Pioneers (Milton-Freewater, OR), 67-24 in Friday's league bout.
The Hilanders now possess a 11-5 record. They play next when they travel to Riverside for a 3A Eastern Oregon bout on Saturday, January 25. Burns will play a Pirates team coming off a 33-32 league loss to Umatilla (Umatilla, OR). The Pirates record now stands at 6-9.
With the loss, McLoughlin falls to 1-13 on the campaign. The Pioneers host Nyssa (Nyssa, OR) to play the Bulldogs in a 3A Eastern Oregon bout on Saturday, January 25. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 7-9. Nyssa lost 47-35 in their recent league outing against Burns (Burns, OR)
