The Panthers (14-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Ashland (Ashland, MS). The Blue Devils come into the 1A Region 2 challenge with a 3-18 record. In their last challenge, Ashland was knocked off by Jumpertown (Booneville, MS), 52-30, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Lions encounter the Falkner Eagles (Falkner, MS) in a 1A Region 2 challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Byers will attempt to improve on its 8-13 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 13-7 record after their 67-40 non-league loss to Walnut (Walnut, MS).
