Mississippi High School Basketball - Pine Grove holds off Byers

In Friday's league contest, the visiting Pine Grove Panthers basketball team scored a close 37-30 triumph over the Byers Lions.
The Panthers (6-5) will now prepare for their contest against Myrtle (Myrtle, MS). The Hawks go into the 1A Region 2 contest with a 3-7 record. In their last contest, Myrtle was tipped by Jumpertown (Booneville, MS), 47-37, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Lions confront the Ashland Blue Devils (Ashland, MS) in a 1A Region 2 contest, on Tuesday, December 10. Byers will attempt to better on its 1-8 season record. The Blue Devils go into the contest with a 2-9 record after their 66-36 non-league loss to West Union (Myrtle, MS).
