In Friday's league test, the New Hope Trojans (Columbus, MS) basketball squad trounced the visiting Clarksdale Wildcats (Clarksdale, MS), by a score of 63-31.
Next, the Trojans encounter the West Point Green Wave (West Point, MS) in a 5A Region 1 test, on Thursday, January 30. New Hope will attempt to improve on its 13-5 season record.
The Wildcats (7-13) will now prepare for their test against Corinth (Corinth, MS). The Warriors come into the 5A Region 1 test with a 1-19 record. In their last test, Corinth was routed by Lafayette (Oxford, MS), 57-28, in a league test.
