Texas High School Basketball - Comstock trounced by Nueces Canyon

Nueces Canyon Panthers (Barksdale, TX) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Comstock Panthers (Comstock, TX), 85-21 in a league match.

With the victory, Nueces Canyon advances its record to 23-5 on the year. The Panthers host Medina (Medina, TX) to meet the Bobcats in a 1A Region IV District 31 match on Tuesday, January 28. The Bobcats enter the match with a record of 17-11. Medina won 47-33 in their recent league match against Leakey (Leakey, TX)

The Panthers now own a 0-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to D'Hanis for a 1A Region IV District 31 match on Tuesday, January 28. Comstock will meet a Cowboys squad coming off a 44-15 league win over Utopia (Utopia, TX). The Cowboys record now stands at 14-7.
