Next, the Panthers encounter the Medina Bobcats (Medina, TX) in a 1A Region IV District 31 test, on Friday, January 3. Nueces Canyon will attempt to improve on its 17-4 season record. The Bobcats come into the test with a 13-8 record after their 36-23 league win over Leakey (Leakey, TX).

The Panthers (0-6) will now prepare for their test against D'Hanis (D'Hanis, TX). The Cowboys come into the 1A Region IV District 31 test with a 7-7 record. In their last test, D'Hanis bounced Utopia (Utopia, TX), 31-18, in a league test.
