Texas High School Basketball - Grand Oaks triumphant over New Caney

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Grand Oaks Grizzlies (Spring, TX) and the host New Caney Eagles (New Caney, TX), observed Grand Oaks's basketball team overwhelm New Caney by a score of 73-19.

The Grizzlies (27-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Conroe (Conroe, TX). The Tigers come into the 6A Region II District 13 challenge with a 15-9 record. In their last challenge, Conroe trounced Oak Ridge (Conroe, TX), 44-43, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles encounter the Willis Wildkats (Willis, TX) in a 6A Region II District 13 challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. New Caney will attempt to improve on its 5-24 season record. The Wildkats come into the challenge with a 6-18 record after their 52-29 league loss to College Park (The Woodlands, TX).
