The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Nelson (Happy Valley, OR) and the visiting Gresham Gophers (Gresham, OR), observed Nelson's basketball team overwhelm Gresham by a margin of 72-20.

The (6-5) will now prepare for their challenge against David Douglas (Portland, OR). The Scots come into the 6A Mt. Hood challenge with a 5-9 record. In their last challenge, David Douglas trounced Sandy (Sandy, OR), 62-44, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Gophers battle the Barlow Bruins (Gresham, OR) in a 6A Mt. Hood challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Gresham will attempt to better on its 6-8 season record. The Bruins come into the challenge with a 6-7 record after their 58-33 league win over Central Catholic (Portland, OR).
