Kentucky High School Basketball - Meade County triumphant over Hancock County

January 24, 2025: Lewisport, KY 42351

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Meade County Green Waves (Brandenburg, KY) and the host Hancock County Hornets (Lewisport, KY), observed Meade County's basketball team overwhelm Hancock County by a score of 66-25.

The Green Waves (12-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Simon Kenton (Independence, KY). The Pioneers come into the non-league challenge with a 12-3 record. In their last challenge, Simon Kenton was routed by North Laurel (London, KY), 42-39, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Hornets encounter the South Spencer Rebels (Rockport, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 27. Hancock County will attempt to improve on its 8-9 season record. The Rebels come into the challenge with a 9-10 record after their 68-19 non-league win over Lighthouse Christian Academy (Bloomington, IN).
