In Friday's non-league contest, the host Humboldt Cubs basketball team scored a big 53-28 win over the St. Paul Indians.
The Cubs (7-5) will now prepare for their contest against Anderson County (Garnett, KS). The Bulldogs come into the non-league contest with a 2-7 record. In their last contest, Anderson County was trounced by Crest (Colony, KS), 42-30, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Indians battle the Southeast Lancers (Cherokee, KS) in a Three Rivers contest, on Tuesday, January 28. St. Paul will attempt to better on its 7-3 season record. The Lancers come into the contest with a 6-4 record after their 44-36 non-league win over Columbus (Columbus, KS).
