The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the St. Pius X Sartans (Albuquerque, NM) and the visiting Grants Pirates (Grants, NM), observed St. Pius X's basketball team knock off Grants by a score of 58-49.

The Sartans (8-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Valencia (Los Lunas, NM). The Jaguars come into the non-league challenge with a 1-5 record. In their last challenge, Valencia was knocked off by Grants (Grants, NM), 59-51, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Pirates encounter the Highland Hornets (Albuquerque, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 28. Grants will attempt to improve on its 6-4 season record.
